God made your child with reverence and wonder. He put his own mark—his very own image—on every daughter and on every son. That means that your child is marked with value so great, it can’t be measured! So why do we educate our children as if they’re worth anything less? Why does it seem like the ultimate goal of education is only to pass the next test or move to the next grade level?
At The Garden Christian Academy, we honor the dignity of every one of our students by preparing them for the greatest good. That means our students are equipped for success not only in college and career, but in every area of their lives—as spouses and parents, as citizens and neighbors, as servant-leaders and enterprising seeds of renewal. Most importantly, students of The Garden Christian Academy are prepared to love, glorify, and enjoy God forever by knowing and loving God’s Son, Jesus Christ.
A Holistic Education
The classical and Christ-centered model of education at The Garden Christian Academy is tailored to the whole child—mind, body, and spirit. Students’ minds are nourished by a feast of ideas, while their habits of heart and body are shaped by healthy practices.
We strive to cultivate lifelong learners who love whatever is good, true, and beautiful. A safe environment, high expectations, loving teachers, and genuine partnership with parents make this possible.
A pathway to academic excellence
In August, 2019, The Garden Christian Academy launched with grades K–2. Each following year we’re adding one grade level, until we reach grade 12!
About The Garden Christian Academy
Affordable for Everyone
The Garden Christian Academy is proud to offer a private, distinguished education to families in Cleveland’s inner city of diverse racial and socioeconomic backgrounds. Rooted in Cleveland’s Clark-Fulton neighborhood, our tuition is affordable for all! We’ll never turn away a family for lack of funds.
Parent Involvement
As important as school is, it can never replace the family. That’s why, at The Garden Christian Academy, all parents sign a parent covenant, ensuring their invaluable participation in their child’s education. Designated parent-involvement events are scheduled throughout the school year to help parents support the success of their children.
Small Classes with Loving Teachers
At The Garden Christian Academy, students are placed in small classes (no more than 17 students per classroom) and immediately begin instruction according to our rigorous, classical curriculum. Every day begins with Bible reading, prayer, and worship through song. Teachers are trained to nurture not only their students’ minds, but also to care for and shepherd their hearts.
High Expectations
Because we’re absolutely confident in our students’ ability to succeed, The Garden Christian Academy is a “no-excuses” school. In an atmosphere shaped by love, high expectations, and accountability, we train students to take responsibility for their actions and lead lives of honesty, transparency, and integrity.
A School for Neighbors and the Wellbeing of the City
The Bible teaches, “love your neighbor as yourself” and that, “whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them.”
The Garden Christian Academy was conceived by parents who’ve experienced firsthand the negative impact of educational disadvantages and, conversely, the transformational power that accompanies access to a distinguished, Christ-centered education. After many years living in Cleveland’s Clark-Fulton neighborhood, and growing a family of their own, the founders of The Garden Christian Academy believe God is paving a way for their neighbors to gain access to the very same education which they desire for their own children.
